A potential side effect involves discoloured and white gums. This effect is an expected reaction from the treatment and it is temporary.

An alternative scenario comprises a personal use kit to continue the whitening treatment at home. Your dentist should provide clear instructions for a proper use of the kit. The intensity of the treatment relies on each patient and the expected tone. The final tone will remain for two years, approximately.
