Frequently Asked Questions

Brushing your children’s teeth is essential once the first tooth is visible/erupts. However, the use of toothpaste is not recommended at an early stage of dental development. A proper technique consists of a gentle brush with warm water twice a day. It is of great importance to consider that even if your kids are able to hold their own brush, a parent must be responsible to assist them until they reach an age between 6 and 8 years old.

The first dental visit should be scheduled at the beginning of the teething stage. From this moment onward a daily brushing routine must be conducted by parents or a responsible adult.

Unless an atypical/unusual symptom has been identified, the first dentist visit happens in between 18 and 24 months of age.

Dental floss is as important as brushing your teeth. Floss has been designed to reach narrow spaces in between your teeth where food residues and bacterial plaque is trapped o accumulates with time.

Use dental floss once a day once you have brushed your teeth. Cut 30 cm of floss, approximately, and wrap/roll one of its ends to one of your fingers. Repeat the process with the remaining end and the opposite hand. Hold the floss tightly with your fingers and slide it in the gaps between each tooth. Each piece is of single use and a the previous steps should be followed thoroughly the next day.
